FAQ on green tea

FAQ #1: Would drinking green tea 2-4 cups a day be part of the aggravation i have with acid reflux. If I have to give this up o god i wont like that. I love drinking green tea. Thanks.

ANSWER: Since I do not know your medical history and I don't want to pretend to be a doctor, I can only give you a general advice. There could be a variety of reasons that can trigger your situation.

First of all, it is quite difficult to determine if green tea is what's causing you the problem. You need to consider the kind of green tea you are taking. You need to make sure you are only using pure, high quality green tea and not flavored, high fructose corn syrup green tea.

Secondly, try to eliminate spicy foods first, and other foods that can trigger acid reflux.

Green tea, on the other hand, has beneficial effects on the digestive process such as improved digestion, decreased risk of ulcers, and assistance in maintaining a healthy weight.

Green tea actually protects the digestive tract from carcinogens that could otherwise harm the stomach, intestine, or colon.

Please consult your doctor for medical advice.

Hope this helps.

FAQ #3: Hi.....I am an insulin dependent diabetic and have been reading about Green Tea....My question is the caffeine.....How much caffeine is in the tea per 16oz serving???Also, does it cause heart palpitations???

ANSWER: GREEN TEA (5 ounces) - 15 mg (brewed for 3 minutes. So, for 16 oz serving, there will be about 48 mg of caffeine.

FAQ #4: Is green tea as beneficial to you when you drink it as iced tea (unsweetened). I am not a big fan of hot tea (sometimes in the winter months) but I consume lots of green tea over ice.

ANSWER: Absolutely! Drink it anyway you heart desires! Cold or Hot, as long as you don't put loads and loads of sugar, you'll do just fine! As a matter of fact, if you don't drink it the way you want it, I doubt if you will stay on it forever. You have to enjoy what you're doing! :-)

FAQ #5: I am wondering if drinking green tea has an effect on nails and hair-my nails are growing longer and stronger, and my hair seems thicker, can I contribute this to green tea?

ANSWER: Green tea has long-range benefits, especially if taken daily throughout a lifetime. Although there are no documented studies of the effects of green tea on hair and nails, it wouldn't be a surprise if green tea has somehow contributed to your longer and stronger hair and nails because green tea has all the powerful antioxidants, vitamins and minerals needed for longer and stronger hair and nails.
