This tells you that the order page is secure. If you see logos such as: Verisign secure, Hacker safe, 128 bit encrytption, and SSL certificate. All these means that you are ordering on a secure page. Just keep in mind that some online merchants who have merchant accounts (meaning, those that accept credit cards online) have access to your credit card info as well. So, keep that in mind.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - this is another important issue. You need to make sure that you have an access to customer service anytime if you have questions. A good customer service should have different ways available for you to place your order such as fax, mail, phone, and online. It is also good if they have a 1-800 number for easy access and no-cost for you in case you need to talk to them.
Check their return policy as well, if they are confident with their products, they will be willing to accept a return for a specific period of time. There may be some restrictions which are understandable to reduce some abuse from cheap customers but overall, they should accept a return if need be.
